If your child needs someone to talk to, this benefit allows you to claim back some of the cost of child or teen counselling carried out by a psychologist or psychotherapist.

Get cash back on your child’s visits to a speech and language therapist registered with CORU. Just keep your receipts and send them in to us to claim for this benefit.

To help your child recover comfortably, we will contribute towards the costs of home nursing by a paediatric nurse. To qualify, your child must have had a hospital stay of at least 5 days in a medical facility covered under their plan. Please see your membership handbook for full details.

If your child needs to go to hospital you’ll want to be as close by as possible. This benefit will give you a contribution towards your accommodation and transport costs while your child is in hospital. To qualify, your child must have had an in-patient stay of more than 3 days. We will contribute towards the cost of a parenting course or programme listed on the Parenting Course Database available on Barnardo’s website. Just keep your receipts and send them in to us to claim for this benefit.

We will contribute towards the cost of a developmental/ neurodevelopmental assessment or child members. The assessment should be carried out by a developmental specialist and full details can be found in your membership handbook.
