In speaking to our GP partners one of the consistent issues people are facing is uncertainty around their symptoms. The key signs to look out for have largely remained the same but as you know the requirements for testing have changed in recent weeks and social media has been rife with suggestions and theories.

The result is many people are now either playing down symptoms in an effort to ease the burden on GPs or calling GPs numerous times a day or week as their symptoms fluctuate. Clearly neither situation is ideal for all those involved.

The Clinical Response Centre team analyses these answers every day. If they determine that they need to contact you, they will do so within 24 hours and if necessary refer you for testing or hospital care. If there is no medical need to contact you, you will receive a message to clarify that within 48 hours.

Whatever your circumstances, The Coronavirus Programme is there to give you the reassurance you need that a clinician is monitoring your symptoms and ready to react if required.
